For our 20th year, we have partnered with Compassion International to help provide clean drinking water to those in impoverished countries who do not have access to clean water. In March, my family went to Kenya with Compassion, and I saw first hand what life is like when you do not have access to clean water. The stories still haunt me.

This year we will name a second winner of our Cheetah Awards contest to the team of three that raises the most money to buy the most Water of Life water filters. These filters allow those who do not have access to clean water to get any water available, run it through a filter, and the water on the other end is 99.9% pure. One filter is $55 and typically supplies clean water to three families who otherwise would not have clean water. And best of all, the filter lasts literally 40 years.

The Cheetah Awards is a contest for students who have attended Chad Cargill's Test Prep and Character Building Workshop. In order to compete, form a team of three students who attended the workshop. Determine how your talents, passions, and loves tie together. Then do any project you want to inspire or help others.

Your project does not have to include raising money. If your project does include raising money, you are encouraged to do something with the money you raise rather than just sending it away to another organization. For example, if you want to do a project to raise money to fight cancer, find a family struggling with the effects of cancer and do something for or with that family.
